Job Purpose

Department: Electrical Engineering

To facilitate the Energy & Power Systems Lab director in conducting projects, maintaining equipment, operating lab machines, and providing any other support or service requested by the lab director.

Job Description
  • Design, conduct, and assess labs in the Power System Protection, Electrical Machines, and Power System Analysis areas as per departmental requirements.
  • Deliver lab content and conduct labs for the assigned courses in relevant areas.
  • Upkeep, procurement, design, and development of lab equipment/modules as required.
  • Operation, maintenance, and inventory management of lab equipment and consumables.
  • Help in the lab setup, including the installation and calibration/quality check of new equipment.
  • Prepare the technical specifications, including the selection and sizing of lab equipment as required during the lab setup and upgradation process.
  • Should understand and implement the safety protocols in the lab.
  • Prepare and grade the laboratory exams.
  • Any other duty assigned by the department/supervisor.
Required Skills
  • Strong interest and some lab demonstration experience in Power System Protection, Electrical Machines, and Power System Analysis areas.
  • Ability to work in a team and get along well with faculty, staff, and students.
Qualification
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering from an HEC recognised University with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
Experience
  • Fresh graduates or candidates awaiting final year results can apply. Final transcripts must be provided at the time of joining.
