Position Overview

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen the university’s brand visibility, engage prospective students, and build and maintain strong relationships with schools and counsellors nationwide. The role involves leading the nationwide school outreach programme, supporting campaign execution, and collaborating across teams to deliver impactful marketing and communications outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities

School Outreach and Relationship Management 

  • Lead the Nationwide School Outreach Programme by planning, executing, and covering a significant share of school visits to strengthen relationships and expand the school network.
  • Build and maintain strong connections with counsellors and school representatives to enhance brand recognition and deepen engagement across diverse demographics.
  • Organise and facilitate information sessions, campus tours, and Q&A interactions with faculty to provide prospective students with meaningful insights into academic and campus life. 

School Marketing (SDSB & MGSHSS) 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) and the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS).
  • Develop and execute tailored marketing strategies for both schools in alignment with institutional objectives.
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership to highlight academic programmes, faculty expertise, student achievements, and research initiatives. 

Marketing Campaign Support and Execution 

  • Work with the digital marketing team to execute campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support content creation for social media and outreach collateral, including photography sessions and video testimonials.
  • Provide post-campaign analysis to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategy. 

Budget and SAP Management 

  • Oversee the marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources across outreach and PR activities.
  • Manage SAP PRs (Purchase Requisitions), coordinating with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely approvals and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Monitor expenditures and provide regular updates to ensure transparency and accountability. 
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or Department.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of marketing and branding principles, trends and practices, preferably within the higher education sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of marketing campaign planning, execution and evaluation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with SAP and budget management will be an advantage.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field from an HEC-recognised institution.
Experience
  • At least 03 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, outreach, or relationship management.
  • Experience with SAP and budget management will be an advantage.
