Position Overview

The Student Engagement Coordinator supports day-to-day operations of the Residential Life Program at LUMS. Working closely with the Project Manager to deliver high-impact student engagement, community development, and well-being initiatives within the residential halls. This role is hands-on and cross-functional, bridging planning, execution, and team coordination to ensure the success of the Residential Life Program.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination & Execution:

  •  Support the design and implementation of semester-long residential life programming in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Work with Residential Community Leads (RC Leads) to monitor progress on programming calendars, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure timelines are met.
  • Help curate and document the student engagement activities across all communities.

Team Collaboration & Oversight:

  • Serve as a point of contact for RC Leads and other stakeholders on planning and operational matters.
  • Assist in onboarding and capacity building efforts for new team members.
  • Facilitate regular check ins and help ensure alignment of team efforts with program objectives.

Operational & Administrative Support:

  • Liaise with campus stakeholders (Facilities, Maintenance, Security, IT) to ensure smooth execution of events and student support services.
  • Manage logistics, materials, and approvals for planned activities.
  • Maintain documentation including event reports, weekly updates, meeting minutes, and inventories.
  • Resident Engagement & Support:
  • Engage with student residents to gather feedback, identify needs, and promote participation in community activities.
  • Provide first line support for minor student concerns, escalating serious matters to the Project Manager or relevant departments

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track event participation, team activity logs, and engagement data.
  • Contribute to program impact reports with key takeaways, success stories, and areas for improvement.

Crisis & Issue Handling:

  • Be available during critical periods (orientation, exam weeks, emergencies).
  • Respond to non-urgent incidents and support follow-ups in collaboration with Housing Officers and CAPS.

Qualifications
  • At least a Bachedor (Hons) Degree in relevant field from an HEC recongnised institute.
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with marketing background.
