Position Overview

To support faculty in the delivery of chemistry courses by assisting as a Course TA and Lab TA, contributing to both theoretical instruction and laboratory-based teaching, while facilitating student learning and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in teaching fundamental chemistry theory courses, including organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry.
  • Mentor tutorial groups while fostering an engaging, supportive, and stimulating learning environment to enhance students’ academic experience.
  • Teach chemistry laboratory courses across organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry.
  • Design and develop new experiments and experimental setups for both research and instructional purposes.
  • Actively engage with students during laboratory sessions, supervise experiments, and guide them in preparing laboratory reports.
  • Oversee the procurement, commissioning, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Manage laboratory infrastructure, including procurement of equipment, chemicals, glassware, and other consumables required for teaching and research.

Qualifications
  • BS/MS/M.Phil degree in Chemistry. Applicants must have completed the degree at the time of hiring.
Experience
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 1 to 2 years of teaching experience would be a plus.
