Position Overview

This position is responsible for end-to-end production—from filming course lectures and marketing content to post-production editing—ensuring all deliverables meet pedagogical, cinematic, and branding standards. The role demands a creative innovator who can blend technical expertise with narrative-driven content to enhance LUMSx’s digital learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Production & Post-Production:

·        Film and edit academic, instructional, and promotional video content for LUMSx initiatives.

·        Produce multimedia content including course videos, testimonials, event highlights, interviews, and social media reels.

·        Support studio and on-location shoots, including multi-camera and green screen productions.

·        Capture photography and video coverage of LUMSx events, faculty sessions, and related activities.

 

2. Post-Production & Creative Support

 

·        Perform video editing, color correction, sound enhancement, motion graphics, and post-production activities.

·        Ensure all multimedia deliverables align with institutional branding, visual identity, and quality standards.

·        Organize and maintain media assets, project files, and production archives for efficient retrieval and reuse.

·        Support creative ideation and contribute to visual storytelling concepts for digital learning and marketing initiatives.

 

3. Technical & Operational Support

 

·        Operate and maintain cameras, lighting equipment, audio systems, and related production tools.

·        Coordinate equipment setup and breakdown for studio and on-site productions.

·        Explore and implement emerging tools, technologies, and workflows to improve production efficiency and content quality.

·        Coordinate with internal stakeholders including instructional designers, faculty, and marketing teams to support production requirements.

·        Travel for off-campus shoots and production assignments, where required.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of educational storytelling and instructional content design (e.g., simplifying and framing complex concepts for clarity)
  • Knowledge of branding principles, including adherence to visual identity guidelines (color palettes, typography, tone consistency)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition)
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve for advanced editing and color grading
  • Strong video editing skills, including sequencing, trimming, and post-production workflows
  • Color grading and visual enhancement skills
  • Audio editing and sound design capabilities
  • Motion graphics and visual effects (VFX) development
  • Ability to operate DSLR/mirrorless cameras effectively
  • Competence in handling lighting setups and rigs
  • Audio recording skills using lavalier and boom microphones.

Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor's(hons) or Master's degree in media production, media studies, performing arts, or photography/film/television.
Experience

Minimum 1 year of of dedicated, hands-on experience relevant experience in videography, video editing, or multimedia production, preferably within educational, digital learning, or institutional content production environments.

Experience in motion graphics, animation, or advanced post-production workflows will be an advantage.
