Position Overview

Business Development & Partnerships Associate role will support the growth and expansion of LUMSx’s partnership initiatives. By actively engaging with external stakeholders and cultivating strategic relationships, the Associate will contribute to the organisation's mission of promoting excellence in education and advancing innovative teaching and learning practices.

Key Responsibilities

Outreach & Lead Generation

  • Conduct proactive outreach to potential partners including educational institutions, businesses, and other relevant organizations.
  • Identify and generate leads through various channels including online research, networking events, and industry connections.

Customized Pitches?:

  • Develop and deliver customized pitches tailored to the specific needs and interests of prospective partners.
  • Collaborate with Partnerships Lead to create proposals and presentations.

Execution Support? :

  • Assist in the execution of customised courses and programs for partner organisations. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of LUMSx offerings. 

Data Management? :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of partner organisations, contacts, and interactions.? 

  • Analyse data on organisations and market trends to identify potential partnership opportunities and inform strategy.? 

Market Research? :

  • Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging educational technologies to inform partnership strategies.

Event Participation? :

  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand outreach and build relationships.

Coordination & Communication :

  • Collaborate with other verticals within the organisation to stay informed about current offerings and initiatives. 
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with internal teams to align partnership efforts with organisational goals.

Performance Metrics :

  • Prepare regular reports on partnership activities, lead generation efforts, and key metrics to track progress and measure success
Knowledge & Skills
  • Familiarity with the education sector, including K-12, higher education, professional development, and lifelong learning. Knowledge of current trends, challenges, and opportunities in education.? 
  • Understanding of business development concepts and strategies, including lead generation, pipeline management, and relationship building. Knowledge of sales processes, negotiation techniques, and contract management.? 
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.??
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.?
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.? 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.?

Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field

Experience

1-3 years of experience is experience in business development, sales, or partnership management preferred.
