Position Overview

The Financial Aid Associate supports the effective implementation and administration of the university’s financial aid program. The role involves assisting in the processing, verification, and communication of student financial aid cases, ensuring timely, accurate, and equitable handling of all related matters. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, communication, and record management, contributing to the university’s mission of facilitating access to quality education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a point of contact for students and parents, providing accurate information and guidance on financial aid policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Respond to student queries via email, phone, and in-person meetings in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review and verify financial aid applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing student files for review by the Financial Aid Committee
  • Support the processing of new and returning financial aid cases, including data entry, system updates, and documentation tracking.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments to identify missing information or discrepancies in financial aid applications.
  • Coordinate with other university offices, including Admissions, Finance, and Registrar’s Office, for information sharing and case resolution.
  • Assist in monitoring financial aid recipients’ academic progress and update records accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all financial aid cases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for financial aid meetings, interviews, and related events.
  • Participate in outreach activities and awareness sessions related to financial aid.
  • Complete any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (in both Urdu & English).
  • Understanding of financial aid principles, documentation requirements, and verification procedures.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Customer service orientation and professional interpersonal conduct.
  • Team collaboration and coordination abilities.

Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor (Hons) degree from an HEC-recognised institute. 
Experience
  • Fresh – 2 years of related experience.
