Position Overview

The Specialist – Communications leads the NOP Centre’s digital presence, marketing initiatives, and communication strategy. The role ensures the Centre’s mission is effectively represented across digital platforms through consistent branding, creative content, stakeholder communication, and targeted campaigns. This position enhances nationwide visibility and engagement by managing social media, digital outreach, storytelling, and event communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital & Social Media Management

  • Plan and execute the annual digital strategy across Meta, Google, and other online platforms.
  • Manage NOP’s social media channels, content calendars, and engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with design and video teams to produce digital content, including podcasts, reels, and tutorials.
  • Track and analyse digital performance to refine campaigns and increase reach.
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables with internal teams and external vendors.

2. Marketing & Brand Communication

  • Oversee development and production of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
  • Ensure brand consistency across print, digital, and multimedia content.
  • Coordinate with the Communications (M&C) department and other departments on external outreach, events, campaigns, and media placements

3. Content & Campaign Development

  • Create, review, and update webpage and social media content, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Lead storytelling initiatives such as student success stories, interviews, and short documentaries.
  • Develop and manage communication campaigns aligned with NOP milestones, application cycles, and outreach phases. 

4. Programme & Event Communication

  • Develop communication material for major NOP events, outreach visits, and student engagement activities.
  • Capture event highlights, photos, videos, and key insights for internal and external reporting.
  • Support pre-event publicity and post-event documentation.

5. Email & Web Coordination

  • Manage official NOP inbox, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses.
  • Coordinate mass email campaigns for applicants and stakeholders.
  • Regularly update the NOP webpages with new content, visuals, and essential programme information. 

6. Administrative Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for NOP communication, marketing, outreach, and Centre operations.
  • Maintain organised digital filing systems and databases for content, reports, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare activity reports, performance summaries, and documentation for internal review.
  • Coordinate meetings, track action items, and manage timelines with teams and vendors.
  • Support procurement, budgeting, and expense tracking for campaigns, events, and Centre activities.
  • Participate in NOP Centre administrative tasks and events to ensure smooth implementation and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, branding guidelines, and reporting standards.

7. Ad Hoc Responsibilities

  • Support creative campaigns, special projects, and cross-department initiatives as required.
  • Assist with video production, outreach documentation, and related communication needs.
  • Maintain flexibility and creativity to meet dynamic communication demands.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Canva, analytics tools; 
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills
  • Basic graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator), video editing skills (Premiere Pro, CapCut) and AI image/ video generation.
  • Strong content creation, storytelling, and campaign planning.
  • Effective coordination and time management capabilities
  • Ability to develop creative communication strategies.

Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Communications, Marketing, Media, or related field
Experience
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or media roles.
